
The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of San Juan City initiated a cleanup of Ermitaño Creek on Wednesday, 8 July 2020.
The activity participated by officials and staff of Barangay Addition Hills led by Kagawad Rosalie Reyes (Clean and Green Committee chair) was conducted in support of the on-going implementation of Manila Bay Rehabilitation Project.
Ermitaño Creek also called Salapan Creek is one of the third main tributaries of San Juan River System. Its mouth is situated in Barangay Salapan near Aurora Boulevard and crosses Wilson Street near Barasoain Street in San Juan City. Its known sources are near Club Filipino and inside the Wack Wack Golf and Country club that is located both in San Juan City and in Barangay Bagong Lipunan Crame, in Quezon City. The cleanup workers were able to clear and recover accumulating debris in the waterbody.
