Australian Ambassador to the Philippines HE HK Yu and her husband Fergus Murphy led the tree planting activity at the Mesa Water Reservation area in Lagro, Quezon City on Sunday, 22 January 2023, to celebrate the 2023 Australia Alumni Family Day.
In her speech before the tree planting, Amb. Yu commended the Philippine government for the success of its National Greening Program (NGP). She said she was so excited to be part of the program that she tagged her family along to plant trees. DENR officials joined embassy officials and staff and Australia Global alumni in the activity. A number of DENR officials in attendance were themselves beneficiaries of the scholarship program of the Australian government.
