The Pasig River Coordinating and Management Office (PRCMO) workers conduct a cleanup of Estero dela Reina in City of Manila on Wednesday, 12 August 2020.

The group was able to accumulate trash in a portion of Estero dela Reina. Estero dela Reina is one of the tributaries of Pasig River, cutting through the highly populated districts of Binondo, Sta. Cruz, and Tondo in Manila. The water from the estero flows directly out to either Pasig River or Estero de Vitas which depends on the tide level and water current of the Manila Bay. Trash that is thrown on the waterway gets trapped midstream and accumulates in time when left uncollected.

PRCMO headed by Assistant Secretary Joan A. Lagunda, D.M., is an office under the DENR and it is in charge of coordinating efforts on the cleanup and rehabilitation of Pasig River.
