The Manila Bay Site Coordinating and Management Office (MBSCMO) convened the members of the Muntinlupa-Parañaque-Las Piñas-Zapote (MUNTIPARLASPIZAP) River System Management Committee (RMC) for its Second Quarter meeting last June 20 in Muntinlupa City. MUNTIPARLASPIZAP is one of the 3 major river systems of Metro Manila traversing the southern part of the region.
Through the RMC, the local government units where the rivers, esteros, and canals of MUNTIPARLASPIZAP pass through are able to discuss issues and agree on ways to collectively address water pollution, recovery of legal easements in waterways, habitat and resources restoration, and contribute to the cleanup and rehabilitation of Manila Bay.
