Honorable Senator Cynthia A. Villar and DENR National Capital Region Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan welcomed the French Ambassador to the Philippines, Michèle Boccoz, to the Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPWP) on Saturday, 27 November 2021.
Ambassador Boccoz was accompanied by Mr. Marc Pitton, Counselor for Cooperation of the French Embassy, and Mr. Hubert d ‘Aboville of the Together-Ensemble Foundation. Mr. Ramon Moreno and Atty. Noel Laman, the foundation’s Vice President and Secretary-General respectively, and Fr. Ricardo Valencia, Ecology Minister of the Archdiocese of Manila, were also in attendance.
Director Caancan, on the other hand, was with Assistant Regional Director for Management Services, Dr. Al O. Orolfo; Conservation and Development Division Chief, Aida E. Esguerra; and PASU Aleine Marie Miranda.
Other members of the LPPWP Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) led by Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCWP) President Ms. Amy Lecciones and Aaron Julius Lecciones, and Wild Bird Club of the Philippines (WBCP) President Mike Lu and Djop Tabaranza were also present to welcome Ambassador Boccoz.
The French Ambassador visited the LPPWP to discuss with Sen. Villar and Director Caancan a possible partnership in the promotion of the area
