DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu visited DENR National Capital Region’s rolling Community PanTREE setup in Barangay Santolan, Pasig City in time for the launch of the Marikina River Restoration project under the Task Force Build Back Better (TF-BBB).
Sec. Cimatu commended the regional office for coming up with the Community PanTREE which has been replicated by other DENR offices in the country and some private organizations.
DENR National Capital Region started the project last April 21, 2021, in celebration of Earth Day. It was the regional office’s means of contributing to efforts addressing the issue of food security in Metro Manila and promoting resiliency in the midst of the pandemic and changing climate.
