DENR National Capital Region, through its South Field Office (SFO), retrieved reticulated pythons (Malayopython reticulatus) from the City Veterinary Office of ParaƱaque City on Friday, 10 January 2020.

Most of the snakes were caught by residents and surrendered to the City Vet. The biggest, measuring almost 10 feet, is a female python caught by residents of Barangay Don Bosco.

The snakes were taken to the Wildlife Rescue Center in Quezon City on Tuesday, 14 January 2020, for rehabilitation and possible release back into the wild in the future.
