DENR National Capital Region participated in the simultaneous bamboo planting on Sunday, 18 September 2022, in celebration of World Bamboo Day, at the La Mesa Water Reservation area in Quezon City. Production Forest Management Section (PFMS) staff under the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) of the regional office led the planting activity together with representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). World Bamboo Day is celebrated each year to raise public awareness of bamboo and the amazing benefits we could derive from its sustainable cultivation. The La Mesa Water Reservation area is one of the several sites in Metro Manila planted with bamboo on the same day.
