To ensure that newly-hired employees are informed of the organizations' vision, mission, mandate and core values, DENR National Capital Region, through its Human Resources Development Section (HRDS), conducted an orientation for them and some Contract of Service (COS) personnel on Thursday, 6 February 2020, in Quezon City.

DENR National Capital Region Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan, CESO III, expressed her hope that through the learning event, newly-hired employees are properly integrated and aligned with the strategic thrust of DENR and its culture, and become productive members of the organization.

Apart from the discussions on the priority programs of DENR—the #BattleForManilaBay, among others—substantial time was also devoted to a discussion on the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Employees (Republic Act No. 6713) to better provide the participants an appreciation of their obligations to the people as public servants.
