DENR NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION ORGANIZES ITS FIRST EVER ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH CAMP AT LPPWP

DENR National Capital Region Assistant Regional Director and Office of the Regional Executive Director (ORED) in charge, Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr. welcomes participants to the first-ever environmental youth camp the regional office has organized. Held at the Wave Activity center of the Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPW) on Thursday, 18 August 2022.

The learning activity was conducted to celebrate International Youth Day (IYD). Attending the event are representatives of youth groups and organizations from Las Piñas City, Parañaque City, Quezon City, and Adamson University. In his welcome address, ARD Almira acknowledged the vital role of the youth in “the goal of cleaning and rehabilitating Manila Bay and regreening Metro Manila”. He said the youth’s enthusiasm, idealism, love, and commitment are critical in fixing Philippine society and solving our planet's woes. He urged the participants to “take courage and be ambassadors of DENR and support the ongoing cleanup and rehabilitation of Manila Bay in particular, and our environment and natural resources in general”.
