DENR National Capital Region organized a Community PanTREE on Saturday, 9 July 2022, at Camp Karingal in Quezon City to celebrate Eid al-Adha.
The regional office gave away free seedlings of Calamansi, Rambutan, Langka, Duhat, Bignay, Sili, and Pechay to our Muslim brothers and sisters and encouraged them to participate in urban farming/gardening. The activity was led by the Production Forest Management Section (PFMS) of the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) in cooperation with the Philippine National Police-National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO). Eid al-Adha is the Muslim festival marking the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and commemorating the sacrifice of Abraham.
