Officials of DENR National Capital Region led by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr. and Conservation and Development Division (CDD) Chief, Forester Aida E. Esguerra, conducted an ocular inspection of Enhanced National Greening Program (ENGP) sites in Valenzuela City on Thursday, 10 February 2022.
They were joined by representatives from the local government of Valenzuela City. The team visited ENGP sites in Barangays Bignay, Lingunan, Tagalag, and Karuhatan.
ENGP is the flagship reforestation program of the government led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The program aims to reforest some 1.2 million hectares nationwide between 2017 to 2022 in accordance with the updated 2016-2028 Master Plan for Forestry Development.
