DENR NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with officials of Barangays Don Galo, Moonwalk, and Sto. Niño, Parañaque City on the deployment of Trash Rafts in priority waterways traversing their barangays Wednesday, 13 January 2021.

The signing ceremony, held via videoconferencing app, was hosted by the DENR National Capital Region South Field Office (SFO) and facilitated by its OIC-DCEO, Ms. Yasmin Roselle O. Caparas. Forester Haidee D. Pabalate, focal for the Manila Bay Site Coordinating and Management Office (MBSCMO) and Engr. Teresita Quiogue of the Parañaque City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), stood as witnesses.

The activity is in line with the on-going rehabilitation of Manila Bay. DENR National Capital Region is providing barangays with trash rafts to assist them in fulfilling their mandate of ensuring the cleanliness of waterways within their jurisdiction.
