DENR National Capital Region through its East Field Office (EFO) estero rangers led the clean-up activity at Lupang Pangako Creek in Quezon City.
The waterway drains water from the upper parts of Barangays Bagong Silangan, Batasan Hills, and Payatas, all in Quezon City, down to Marikina River, near the boundary of the National Capital Region and Rizal Province. The cleanup is part of the ongoing implementation of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.
The DENR led an inter-agency effort to restore water quality in Manila Bay following the Writ of Continuing Mandamus of the Supreme Court.
