DENR NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION KICK-OFF CELEBRATION OF WOMEN’S MONTH 2021

_{Women's Month Celebration 2021 was attended by some DENR National Capital Region officials and staff led by OIC Assistant Regional Director for Management Services, Dr. Al O. Orolfo, the Chairman of Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) of DENR National Capital Region on Monday, March 1, 2021.}

_{The celebration was held after the weekly flag ceremony of DENR National Capital Region. Dr. Orolfo announced RGADC's plans for Women's Month while Regional Executive Director Jacqueline Caancan gave her message of support, including her perspective on activities and talks, which will increasingly feature the women's part in developing our society.}

_{March was designated as Women's Month under Presidential Proclamation No. 224, s. 1988 while being ordered under Republic Act No. 6949 commemorating ′′ Women's Day ′′ on March 8th every year. This year, DENR celebrates Women's Month under the theme ′′ Women Can Make Change, Amidst Climate Change and COVID-19 ′′. This is in recognition of the stability and readiness of women in the challenge of changing weather conditions and pandemic that everyone experience right now.}
