DENR NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION INSTALLED TRASH TRAPS IN PATEROS RIVER AND PANDAY PIRA IN TAGUIG CITY

DENR National Capital Region, through its Manila Bay Site Coordinating/Management Office (MBSCMO) and Metropolitan Environmental Office-South (MEO-South), installed trash traps in Pateros River and Panday Pira in Taguig City. The trash traps—which are made of polypropylene ropes, nets, and floating buoys—were installed in coordination with Barangays San Pedro (Pateros) and Ligid-Tipas (Taguig City) and is meant to assist the local government units in their river cleanup and maintenance efforts relative to the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program.
