DENR National Capital Region hosted a Covid-19 booster vaccination activity at the National Ecology Center (NEC) compound in East Avenue, Quezon City on Monday, 31 January 2022.
The activity, co-hosted by the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), was initiated by the regional office upon the instructions of Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan to Assistant Regional Director for Management Services, Al O. Orolfo, and was made possible with the help of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Quezon City Government.
A total of 270 booster shots were given to employees of DENR Central Office, DENR National Capital Region, EMB National Capital Region, LLDA, and some residents of nearby communities.
While the majority of DENR National Capital Region employees have already received their booster shots, Director Caancan still encouraged those who have yet to be vaccinated. Likewise, she reminded all employees to continue observing health protocols at work. “We need to remain cautious at all times, looking out not only for our safety but the safety of our co-workers, clients, family, and the people we interact with on a daily basis. Please continue on wearing masks, observe safe physical distance from one another, and frequently wash or sanitize our hands while doing office or fieldwork”, Director Caancan said.
