DENR National Capital Region, through its Manila Bay Site Coordinating and Management Office (MBSCMO), hosted the 1st quarter meeting for the River Management Committees (RMCs) of the Malabon-Navotas-Tullahan-Tinajeros (MANATUTI) River System, Pasig-Marikina-San Juan (PAMARISAN) River System, and Muntinlupa-Parañaque-Las Piñas-Zapote (MUNTIPARLASPIZAP) from March 9-11, 2022 at the Hive Hotel in Quezon City.
The blended meeting was attended by representatives from the 17 LGUs of Metro Manila to discuss the issues on the implementation of the status of their plans for solid and liquid waste management, resettlement of Informal Settler Families (ISF), and habitat and resources restoration in the respective river systems. The RMC was established to provide a venue for LGUs and representatives of the Mandamus agencies to meet and discuss the implementation of the Operation Plan for the Manila Bay Coastal Strategy (OPMBCS).
