DENR National Capital Region through its Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) and Conservation and Development Division (CDD), held a webinar on climate resilience on Tuesday, 27 July 2021, via an online video conferencing app.
The online learning event was conducted in coordination with the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Pasay City. It was attended by 75 students and teachers from different public schools in Pasay City.
Forester Emelyn Nuguid, regional focal of the River Basin Coordinating Office (RBCO), served as the main resource person. She discussed extensively the connection between climate resiliency and the environment, as well as the need to protect and conserve the environment to mitigate the impact of climate change.
The activity was conducted in celebration of the 2021 National Disaster Resilience Month under the theme: “Tamang Pamamahala’t Kahandaan, Kaalaman at Pagtutulungan sa Sakuna at Pandemya’y Kalasag ng Bayan”.
