DENR National Capital Region, led by Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan and her Assistant Regional Directors Dr. Al O. Orolfo (Management Services); Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr. (Technical Services); and, Martin Jose V. Despi (Special Concerns), facilitated the conduct of the 4th Regional Management Conference on December 15-16 in Quezon City.
Members of the expanded Executive Committee were in full attendance to discuss the physical and financial accomplishments of their respective offices concerning their set targets for the year and shared the lessons they’ve learned in the process of implementing the plans, programs, and activities of the regional office.
DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations and Environment, Atty. Juan Miguel T. Cuna also attended the event and offered his insights and advice in sustaining the gains of the regional office, especially in terms of promoting peoples’ participation and developing a partnership with organizations from both the public and private sectors of the society.
Director Caancan thanked Usec. Cuna for the continued support of DENR central office. She assured him that the regional office will further improve its performance and service to the public. “We will strive to be more responsive to the needs and demands of residents of Metro Manila in the protection of our environment and natural resources, especially as we are still facing the threat of Covid-19”, Director Caancan said.
