DENR National Capital Region, through its Manila Bay Site Coordinating Management Office (MBSCMO), facilitated the conduct of the third quarter Assessment and Planning Workshop for the River Management Committee (RMC) of the Muntinlupa-Parañaque-Las Piñas-Zapote (MUNTIPARLASPIZAP) River System in Las Piñas City on 12 September 2022.
Members of the MUNTIPARLASPIZAP RMC provided an update of the implementation of their plans on solid and liquid waste management, informal settler families, and habitat and resources management in support of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation program. The members also discussed issues and problems encountered and the ways forward. MUNTIPARLASPIZAP is one of the three major river systems of the National Capital Region or Metro Manila; the river system drains the southern part of the region.
