He said that continuous improvement and professionalization of the DENR workforce remains “a top priority” of DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu.
DENR-NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan likewise commended the graduates. She said the ENRA Course was precisely designed to reinforce the knowledge and appreciation of the participants on the Mandate, Vision, Mission, Goals and Core Values of DENR as an organization and their important role in its realization.
“Our role as public servants is ever-evolving, especially now that we are faced with a public health crisis. Still, we need to stay on course, to always stand firm on our core values. This training intends to remind us of our duties and responsibilities as DENR employees and as servants of the people”, RED Caancan said in her speech.
“One of our core values is ‘Excellence’. And in pursuing excellence, we need to constantly train our people. The ENRA course is but one of the many trainings that we conduct regularly to help our personnel achieve excellence and ensure the success of our organization”, she added.
A total of 98 employees completed the training: 49 for the ENR Frontline Service Course (Class 102-Matatag and Class 103-Maalaga) and another 49 employees for the ENR Basic Course (Class 202-Resilient and Class 203-Sustainable).
