DENR National Capital Region extends its congratulations to employees who finished their off-campus program for Master in Public Administration (MPA) at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
A total of 29 employees—15 from DENR National Capital Region and 9 from EMB National Capital Region—received their diplomas from PLM during its 54th Commencement Exercise held on Friday, 5 August 2022, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
The graduates are the product of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that DENR National Capital Region signed with PLM in 2019. A brainchild of Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Cancan, the program aimed to provide employees an opportunity to pursue higher learning and earn a degree under an alternative learning setup.
"We want to professionalize our ranks and continue equipping our employees with the necessary knowledge and skills for better delivery of our services to the public", Director Caancan said. "Our goal is to transform DENR National Capital Region into a high-performing government organization that is able to deliver excellent service, meet the demands of the public, and sustain its improved performance", she added.
Another batch of employees is currently enrolled and studying under the off-campus program.
