Around 30 employees and officials of DENR National Capital Region availed themselves of COVID-19 vaccine booster shots offered by the city government of Manila early this month. The activity, done in coordination with DENR MIMAROPA and held at the DENR by the bay office at L&S Building, Ermita, Manila, also benefited employees and officials of other DENR offices, including the Metropolitan Environmental Office – West), Environmental Management Bureau-4A, and Mines and Geosciences Bureau 4B.
Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan has repeatedly encouraged officials and employees of the regional office to avail of booster shots for additional protection. “We need to protect our employees, including their families, as we go about doing our tasks as public servants”, she said. “Considering that Metro Manila is the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, we need to assist our employees in getting their booster shots. Doing so would also protect our clients”, she added.
