The DENR National Capital Region, through its West Field Office (WFO), distributed waste collection pushcarts to barangays in Makati, Mandaluyong, and San Juan to help them improve their collection and transport of solid waste in their area.
The regional office, through its Manila Bay Site Coordinating Office (MBSCMO), is providing selected barangays in Metro Manila with pushcarts to support and strengthen their compliance with Republic Act No 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. In 2021, the regional office distributed waste collection trikes to different barangays in Metro Manila in line with the ongoing rehabilitation and cleanup of waterways that is connected with the Manila Bay.
