The learning activity, led by DENR-NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan, was attended by officials and staff of the four Field Offices of the regional office.
The activity aims to establish guidelines on profiling of esteros and other waterways, community engagement, and reporting procedures for field workers. These guidelines, once approved, would help expedite and facilitate data gathering for planning and implementation of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program at the grassroots level.
DENR-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr.; Planning and Management Division Chief and concurrent Chief Environmental Officer for the South Field Office (SFO) Dr. Eduardo Calzeta, and MBSCMO Focal Forester Haidee Pabalate were also in attendance to provide additional inputs and insights on the issues at hand.
