DENR National Capital Region Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services, Engr. Ignacio R. Almira, Jr. led the inspection of National Greening Project (NGP) sites inside the La Mesa Water Reservation area in Barangay Greater Lagro, Quezon City on Thursday, 14 July 2022.
The NGP is the banner reforestation initiative of the DENR; in 2015, the program was expanded to include the estimated remaining 7.1 million hectares of denuded forest lands in the country. The La Mesa Water Reservation area is part of the declared forest lands in Metro Manila. DENR National Capital Region partners with different public and private organizations to implement the program.
