DENR National Capital Region, through its Metropolitan Environmental Office-North (MEO-North), participated in the cleanup of Mariveles Creek in Barangay Malinta, Valenzuela City last January 18, 2023.
The activity was led by the Valenzuela City government and participated by volunteers from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male and Female Dormitory-Valenzuela City. The activity resulted in the recovery of 30 sacks of mixed waste from the waterway. MEO-North maintains a strong relationship with various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and their bureaus in the Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas-Valenzuela (CAMANAVA) area in keeping with the DENR mandate of mobilizing the public for the protection and conservation of the environment and natural resources.
