DENR Assistant Secretary for Administration and Legislative Affairs Joan A. Lagunda and Director Romirose B. Padin of the Legislative Liaison Office led a tree planting activity at the La Mesa Water Reservation area in Barangay Greater Lagro, Quezon City on Saturday, 25 June 2022, in celebration of Philippine Arbor Day. They were joined by members of the Philippine Army led by Maj. Dennis Manalo. DENR National Capital Region Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Manuel T. Escasura and Production Forest Management Section (PFMS) Chief Arturo G. Calderon assisted in the activity. A total of 300 seedlings of Molave (Vitex parviflora), Narra (Pterocarpus indicus), and Kalumpit (Terminalia microcrpa) were planted by the volunteers.
