DENR National Capital Region, through its South Field Office (SFO), retrieved an injured Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) in Maharlika Village, Taguig City.

The raptor was immediately taken to the Wildlife Resource Center in Quezon City for treatment and rehabilitation. According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the conservation status of the bird is Least Concern because of its wide distribution.
