Engr. Almira designated as DENR-National Capital OIC Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services

Engr. Almira R. Ignacio, Jr. was named OIC Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Technical Services of DENR-National Capital Region.

In a Special Order signed by DENR Undersecretary for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Legal, Legislative Affairs and Anti-Corruption Atty. Ernesto D. Adobo, Jr., CESO 1, dated 06 March 2018, Engr. Almira was designated as ARD for TS.

Engr. Almira assumes the responsibilities of Dr. Sofio B. Quintana who was earlier promoted as Regional Director for DENR CALABARZON.

Rising from the ranks, Engr. Almira has been the chief of the Surveys and Mapping Division (SMD) and Surveys Division of DENR-NCR prior to his appointment OIC ARD.

In his first speech as OIC ARD, Engr. Almira thanked everyone he has worked with and supported him during his stint as SMD chief. With his appointment, Engr. Almira assured everyone that he will continue working hard for the regional office and looks forward to engage all divisions of the Technical Services and prove everyone that he is worthy of the trust and confidence given to him.

OIC ARD Engr. Almira is a Career Service Executive Eligible and has a Master’s Degree in Government Management from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM). He finished his degree in Geodetic Engineering at FEATI University.

He has been in government service since 1985, first as Geodetic Engineer for the Bureau of Lands-Central Office, and later as Engineer III for DENR-Central Luzon where he stayed for 10 years. In 1999, OIC ARD moved to DENR-NCR and has served in various supervisory capacity since then.
