Annual Physical Checkup for DENR-NCR employees held

February 8, 2018

To ensure that the DENR-NCR workforce is healthy, fit and always ready to serve the people, the DENR-NCR Employees Association (DNEA) recently organized a two-day Physical Examination for its members.

Held last February 8 and 9, 2018 at the National Ecology Center (NEC) in Quezon City, DNEA members completed physical check-up without leaving their post. “We understand the challenge of balancing health and work”, DNEA President Juanita “Baby” L. Baldovino explains. “So, instead of obliging our members to go all the trouble of seeking help in hospitals and clinics, we thought it wise to bring the medical professionals and equipment here in our office”, she concludes.

Medical & Diagnostic Center, Inc., through the DENR-NCR’s current healthcare service provider CareHealth Plus, sent a medical team led by Dr. Abigail Alaba to run the tests for DNEA members. These include complete blood count, urinalysis, fecalysis, ECG, breast and pelvic exam for women, and rectal exam for men.

Apart from assuring continuous public service delivery, annual health check-ups also help to ensure employee productivity, in turn lowering costs associated with health care, absenteeism, and employee turnover.
