OLFU Tree Planting

 

Foreign students conducts tree caring activities at DENR-NCR La Mesa Arboretum

Exchange students from Hanbat National University of South Korea joined the tree planting and caring activity jointly organized by Our Lady of Fatima University-Quezon City (OLFU-QC) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the La Mesa Arboretum Park in Quezon City.

Five (5) South Korean nationals joined students of OLFU-QC as they planted Molave seedlings (Vitex parviflora) and weed out trees at the Arboretum managed by the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) of DENR-NCR.

The activity, according to Dr. Ramonita Salazar, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences is aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students and help enhance the forest cover in the city at the same time.
