Dalaw Turo at St. Paul College-Paranaque City

March 14, 2017

The Regional Public Affairs Office (RPAO) of DENR-National Capital Region conducted on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, a Lecture-Discussion on the Las Pinas-Paranaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area (LPPCHEA) as one of the four Sustainable Integrated Area Development (SIAD) sites of Metro Manila at St. Paul College in Paranaque City.

Apart from promoting the LPPCHEA as SIAD site, the activity was conducted in celebration of the anniversary of the designation of LPPCHEA as a wetland of international importance by the Ramsar convention on March 15.

The lecture—which combined interactive discussions, film showing and group activity workshop—was attended by 120 students from Grades 7 to 11 of St. Paul College.

The SIAD concept was tackled as well as the problems facing the LPPCHEA (pollution, among others) en route to it being a premiere ecotourism destination.
