In preparation for the upcoming celebration of World Water Day this March, the Regional Public Affairs Office (RPAO) organized a trainers’ training on water education for DENR-NCR employees on Monday, 20 February 2017 at the National Ecology Center, Diliman, Quezon City.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Jess Reyes, Corporate Affairs Division chief of Nestle Philippines, and his student interns from De La Salle University. The team shared their knowledge and experience on conducting Project Water Education for Teachers (Project WET) training.
Project WET is an award-winning training module intended for teachers and non-formal educators working with youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade. It consists of innovative, water-related activities that are hands-on, easy to use and fun. It highlights water's physical properties, quality and what impacts it, as well as peoples' relationship to water throughout their lives.
DENR-NCR Administration Division Chief Atty. Jan Bautista and Assistant Regional Director for Management Amelita D.J. Ortiz (seated, third and fifth from left respectively) joined the participants for a posterity shot.
